Need to know

Common questions.

If something's not here, message us — we usually reply within an hour during charter season.

Do I need a boat licence?

Depends on the boat. Jet skis and small motorboats usually need a basic boat licence. Yachts and catamarans need a coastal skipper certificate (or higher for offshore). If you don't have the right tier, just add a captain at booking — most boats are available skippered or fully crewed.

What's included in the price?

Insurance, daily safety check, harbour fees from your home marina, basic safety equipment (life vests, first-aid kit, GPS, marine radio). Fuel is usually paid at return based on engine hours. Optional add-ons: skipper, snorkel gear, catering, drinks package.

What if the weather turns bad?

Safety first. If wind or sea conditions exceed the boat's safe operating limits, we either reschedule (no fee) or refund. The captain has final say on whether to sail.

How do deposits and payments work?

Reservation is confirmed with a 30% deposit (refundable up to 7 days before charter date). The balance plus a refundable security deposit is collected at boat handover. We accept cards (Stripe), bank transfer, and cash for local renters.

Can I drop off at a different marina?

Yes — drop-off can be different from pickup, subject to a one-way fee that depends on the route. Tell us at booking and we'll quote the fee upfront.
